The Rho Chi Society meets annually in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the American Pharmacists Association. The next APhA Annual Meeting will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana March 9-12, 2012. Details of the APHA Annual Meeting will be available on their Web site, www.aphanet.org.
The Rho Chi Society Annual Meeting
The Society's 2012 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, March 11, 2012, from 2:00 - 5:15 pm. in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel, Grand Salon C. Registration tables will be set up outside Grand Salon C approximately one hour prior to the Meeting in order for Delegates and Alternates to register their attendance. Please check the website frequently as finalized details regarding the meeting will be posted here as well as sent to advisors and delegates via the listservs.
The Society is pleased to announce that Dr. Victoria F. Roche, Professor of Pharmacy Sciences and Senior Associate Dean at the Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Rho Chi Society Lecture Award. Dr. Roche will make her Lecture Award Presentation during the Annual Meeting on Sunday, March 11.
Special Note: All Rho Chi members (and non-member students) are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting. You do not have to be a Chapter Delegate or Alternate Delegate to attend.
Each Rho Chi chapter is expected to have an official delegate present for the Society's Annual Meeting. Chapters not in attendance for three consecutive years are placed on probation and thus, in accord with National Bylaws, are not eligible to elect new members. A record of chapter attendance for each of the past three years is posted for review.
Chapter Officers or Faculty Advisors should notify the National Office of their elected Chapter Delegate and Alternate by February 24. This information can be submitted via the Chapters/Chapter Instructions/Delegate Report menu found on the left side of this page.
The Rho Chi Society Executive Council Meetings
The next meeting of the Rho Chi Society Executive Council will be during the meeting of the American Pharmacsits Association. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 12, 2012, at 8:30 am in the Hilton Riverside Hotel, Fountain Room. Details will be posted as they become available.
(Tentative) The Rho Chi Society Executive Council also meets during the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Annual Meeting (July 14-18, 2012) in Kissimmee, Florida. The Executive Council is composed of the National Officers, Regional Councilors, and representatives of the Chapters receiving the Chapter Achievement Awards.
