The Rho Chi Society meets annually in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the American Pharmacists Association. The next APhA Annual Meeting will be held in San Antono, TX, April 3-7, 2009. Details of the APHA Annual Meeting will be available on their Web site, www.aphanet.org. Please begin planning now for this event.
The Rho Chi Society Lecture Award
The Lecture Award presentation will be made during the APhA Annual Meeting. Please watch the website for updates and information regarding the 2009 Lecture Award Presentation.
Special Note: All Rho Chi members (and non-member students) are encouraged to attend the Lecture Award Presentation. If you are not a Chapter Delegate or Alternate Delegate and plan to attend the Lecture Award presentation, please complete and return the attached form to the National Office.
The Rho Chi Society National Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Rho Chi Society will be held during the APhA Meeting. Details for the 2009 Annual Meeting will be posted as soon as they are finalized.
Each Rho Chi chapter is expected to have an official delegate present for the Society's Annual Meeting. Chapters not in attendance for three consecutive years are placed on probation and thus, in accord with National Bylaws, are not eligible to elect new members. A record of chapter attendance for each of the past three years is posted for review.
Chapter Officers or Faculty Advisors should notify the National Office no later than March 15, 2009, of their elected Chapter Delegate and Alternate via the Resources for: Advisors and Officers/Chapter Instructions menu found on the navigation bar at the top of this page. If you have difficulty with the form, please email your Delegate and Alternate information to rhochi@unc.edu. Please include the email address for each.
The Rho Chi Society Executive Council Meetings
The Rho Chi Society Executive Council will meet during the APhA Annual Meeting. As details are finalized they will be posted on the website. The Executive Council is composed of the National Officers, Regional Councilors, and a representative of the Chapter receiving the Chapter Achievement Award.
Rho Chi Society Regional Meetings
Rho Chi Chapters are encouraged to organize regional meetings as venues to promote exchange of ideas, to establish strong communication networks, to facilitate inter-chapter projects and to foster fellowship. The Society provides support on request to the National Office to defer related expenses of participating chapters. Please review the Regional Meeting Funding Policies before you plan your event.
